The plants in my garden appear to be taking their last breath.
They’d been holding up very well through temperature fluctuations, however, the heavy rain overnight has fixed that. The flower heads are sodden and sad-looking. Some plants have fallen down, unable to support the water-logged leaves and petals. Pretty soon, I will have to resort to cleaning up – which means cutting down, back and clearing out. It is the time of year I feel a sadness – a kind of loss, and yet the garden and all that is in it needs time to rest from the hard work of growing.
Do you have a sense of loss today? It could be a job loss: relationship broken or death of a loved one. Whatever it is, take the day one step at a time, give yourself time to rest, otherwise everything will overwhelm you.
If you pray – pray to God and ask Him for the strength you need. He will answer in the way that is best for you. He is not slow with His answers to your prayers – He is patient with each of us as He leads us to recovery and a new wholeness.
If you have a need and would like prayer, leave your request and it will be done.
