We are still in the fall season here and yet one could be forgiven for thinking that we are slap bang in the middle of winter. This past week has seen central Ontario covered with unexpected snow. Squalls to be more exact. The lakes are not yet frozen, so any moisture from any direction presents itself as snow! Ugh.
Just a few weeks ago, we were enjoying temperatures in the low to mid-thirties. Since November began we have been snow-shocked! Yesterday, we received sixteen centimeters of the white stuff, and while I admit, it does look pretty, it presents major driving difficulties, as well as, dangerously slippery conditions underfoot. All this is to say, I DO NOT LIKE it.
Tree branches were so heavy with snow that they almost reached the ground. Today, just twenty-four later you cannot tell there was any snowfall at all until you look at the snow-covered ground.
Stay warm!
Me? I am looking forward to spring. 🙂
