I feel the need to sit a while. To relax, to take a deep breath and plan the day ahead.
It is a cool morning. 8 degrees is the temperature. It actually feels refreshing, after the torrid days of our short summer. When mid-thirties to forty degrees suddenly drops to the teens, it is a bit of a shock to the system, but it certainly gives your breathing an easier time.
My Jim, has just informed me that he doubts he will be able to come home from the hospital today. He is in extreme pain still, and had little sleep through the night. I wish the doctors would find what is causing this infection to be so resistant, to at least give Jim rest from the dreadful discomfort he is experiencing. If you are a praying person, please cover him with the comfort and love of Jesus, and allow a breakthrough to occur to take the strain off his exhausted body.
Meantime, if you are in difficulties, of any kind, I pray and hope that you also receive the help you need, and the comfort for which you yearn.
Me? I am enjoying the quiet of the morning, with my coffee (my wake up juice), and Bible time.
My thought for the day is taken from Our Daily Bread. The message was entitled The Last Word. My hope for the day is that the medical team caring for Jim have the last word, when they discover what is causing Jim such pain, and that they discover the real cause.
It seems that nothing is having long-lasting affect. He is desperate to come home but realizes he must remain in hospital for as long as it takes complete healing to happen.
‘Loving God, help me to turn to You when I am worn out. Thank you that in You I find rest’.
