The reading in today’s Daily Bread (ourdailybread.ca) describes life’s challenges as being as difficult to overcome as trying to climb a sand dune; for the longest time you feel you are not getting anywhere, but keep going and you will succeed.
It could describe the grieving process too. Each day, you struggle with all the mundane, but necessary, activities of your life, trying to regain a new ‘normal’ you might consider giving up, but keep going and you will succeed.
‘I can do all this through Him who gives me strength’…..Philippians 4:13
The battle can be so much harder if you shut God out, or if you do not even have God in your life. Alone, hurting and angry, you will have no source of inner fortitude to hold you up on the difficult days.
‘I have learned the secret of being content in every circumstance. It is Christ who brings me peace and the will to carry on’……….Philippians 4:11b
I pray that you will be willing to be willing to let God into your life, and let Him take control.
How do you do that? What do you have to do to achieve that? Simply ask.
Pray…….. Dear Lord Jesus, please come into my life. Make me a member of your family, as I turn from doing things my own way, and make you the centre of my life. Amen.
Pray. Trust. Believe.
