Here Comes Winter

Just a week ago we were enjoying warm temperatures, colorful treescapes, and sunshine. This morning we awoke to winter. Leaves have been shaken from the trees, due to high winds from the north, and snow. I am not impressed!

Thankfully, we (husband Jim and myself) were proactive. We did a major garden clean up, and cleared the patio of the summer equipment, as well as, prepared the snowblower and brought out the snow shovels.

I do not enjoy winter. I much prefer spring and fall. The temperatures are comfortable for walking. Summertime is beautiful, but the humidity in this part of Ontario is hard to bear, although I still prefer it to the brutal cold of a Canadian winter.

So on a bleak, cold morning, all I can say is – please drive carefully; watch your steps if you do go outside, and if possible – just stay home.
