See You Later

Our cottontail is still visiting. Apparently enjoying the carrot treat put out for it.

Early this morning it watched from a distance as I “tsk..tsk’d” and put the usual small piece of carrot on the step beside our home. It waits until I go back indoors and close the door before it moves in for the snack.

It has become a daily ritual and one that I still look forward to. Keeping my distance is my choice too. My aim is not to tame this wild creature; just to offer it a morsel of fresh carrot through the bitterly cold winter weather.

Today, it ate the treat and then took off on it’s travels again.

Stay safe little one.

Hope to see you later,

Patricia
